Donations
Excel has been helping people in our community with mental and physical disabilities since 1964. Operating as a non-profit charitable society we support and advocate for our clients both round the clock and round the calendar.
Donations to the Excel Society go far in providing the extra programs, recreation, services and equipment needed by our clients, people with mental and physical disabilities. You can help us provide needed support in our work providing accommodations, vocational training and recreation. Our simple objective is to help our clients to achieve success as active members of the community.
Opportunities to help are endless. They range from simple cash donations, to gifts in kind or outright adoption of programs that benefit our clients.
Some companies encourage their staff to volunteer on "Volunteer Day" maintenance programs.
The Castle Downs Lions Club have for many years sponsored a summer trip program.
With almost 40 homes, maintenance is a constant drain on Excel's budget. Because maintenance is not recognized in our government care contracts, it is a burden on our budget. At the same time, we ensure a quality environment for clients often through donation support from our community.
Considering how you might help? Contact Sharon Read or Charles Vermeeren at 455-2601 (ext. 243) and we'll be glad to talk about how you can benefit your community with Excel.
