Small Business Services

The Excel Society currently contracts the services of 2 small business groups through the John McGee Day Options. Each Small Business is comprised of individuals with developmental disabilities who, with the support of a Business Coach, respond to the needs within the contract organization.

This began as a pilot project upon expressed interest of several clients. It helps clients to gain necessary work experience in different areas of work with the goal of employment in the community.

Each Small Business Group has completed training and for the past year, individuals have developed occupational skills, - from developing a comprehensive routine to ordering/maintaining supplies to communicating with their employer to ensure that the customer needs are being met.
